Auntie M comes to town!

My sister Marcie, who recently moved to Nashville, came home for the long memorial day weekend. Anderson was so glad to see her! We loaded up and took him to the pool today along with some other friends.

Since this was opening day at the pool there were tons of kids there and Anderson and his little friend Giulianna enjoyed watching the big kids splash and play. They even got in on a little of the action! Anderson loves the water....the beach...the pool...the bathtub...any body of water will do! I guess I'm going to have a little fish on my hands!

Over the hills and through the woods to grandmother's house we go!

Well the fam took yet another road trip this weekend! This will be our 5th and final weekend in a row away from home. Somehow we just had several trips that fell in the same time frame. We had fun, but we are so ready for some time at home.
This past weekend we traveled to Jeff's hometown, Winchester, TN, for a family celebration. His parents, Bill and Judy, have been married for 50 years! Jeff and I and his brother Scott along with his wife Andrea planned a casual party to honor all of these years of togetherness! A great time was had by all and Nana and Pop really enjoyed showing off their newest grandson, Anderson!

While home for the weekend Jeff wanted to attend his cousin Ali's Graduation/18th birthday celebration. The party was held out in the country...and as a city girl I consider Winchester to be out in the country...but this was WAY out in the country at a beautiful Antebellum home that their family recently purchased and is in the process of refurbishing. The house was breathtaking and in a beautiful spot nestled in the foot hills of some nearby Mountains. In true old-fashioned country style we dined on BBQ out on the front lawn. There was even a cotton candy station, so we decided to let Anderson have a taste...he didn't care for it too much!
