So, I am late posting this, but like always our holiday schedule is WAY too packed! HA! Last weekend Jeff's family from Tennessee was kind enough to come to us for a Christmas Family get together. Traveling with two children two and under for a 4 hour car trip was not our idea of a good time. Jeff's parents arrived Friday afternoon and we had dinner and a great visit that night. Nana (Jeff's mom) couldn't resist letting Anderson open a couple of gifts ahead of schedule. The next morning we headed to a friend's birthday party and then came home to welcome Jeff's brother and sister-in-law along with their daughter. We had a yummy chili lunch and got to really visit and chat. Of course everyone loved seeing Lydia, but I think Anderson's funny antics certainly stole the show! HA! That afternoon at 3:00 the earth stood still as we tried to pull our beloved Tide through to a victory over Florida. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Both Jeff and I were exhausted and felt as if we had actually played the game! We were so disappointed since the loss will keep us from playing in the National Championship, but at the same time we are so proud of all our team accomplished this season!
That night after we watched the game we had a delicious meal of spring salad with roasted walnuts and cranberry vinigrette, spiral honey ham, sweet potato casserole, green bean bundles, and my grandmother's caramel cake. It was divine!! After dinner we opened gifts. Anderson was in heaven!! This Christmas is going to be so fun with him!!
