After spending Thanksgiving with my Dad's side of the family, we traveled the short trip to Birmingham on Friday to have our "Day After Thanksgiving" celebration with my Mom's side. Thankfully, Jeff's parents have agreed to come to us this year, so we'll be seeing them for a combo Thanksgiving/ Christmas celebration this weekend.
We had a great time. Todd (my stepbrother) usually invites some close friends to join us and over the years it has been nice to get to know them. We ate lots of yummy food and enjoyed Anderson's funny little personality. He loved building a "cave" out of the pillows on Mom's bed and trying to walk in Aunt Marcie's heels. We also enjoyed getting to see Todd and Susan's 4d ultrasound. Their sweet baby boy is due mid- February and we can't wait!! That will be three grandchildren under 3 for my poor mom. She and Mike are officially out-numbered!
