We headed over to Calera again this year to ride a real "Choo- Choo" train to the North Pole to see Santa! We boarded our train with all of our friends wearing our jammies. As we traveled to the "North Pole" aka about 20 minutes down the tracks, we listened to the Polar Express story over the loud speaker. Once we arrived, Santa, Mrs. Clause and several elfves boarded our train. We got to talk to them and make pictures as well as tell them what we wanted for Christmas. We all got a jingle bell and sang lots of carols. Then we got cookies and chocolate milk for the train ride back as well as a keepsake ornament.
It was fun to watch Anderson really soak it in this year. Last year, he was a COMPLETE wild man and Jeff and I both nearly lost our religion chasing after him. To top it off we went home that night and realized hmm....maybe I'm pregnant. We took the test expecting a negative and got quite the surprise! So this is actually Lydia's second Polar Express...we just didn't know it at the time! The difference a year makes is amazing! Click here to see our little monkey last year at the same event. We learned our lesson and will be skipping this event next year when Lydia is at the dreaded..."I'm mobile enough to hurt myself, but not scared enough to listen to you" stage of 18 months. The next year will be great with Anderson at age 4 and Lydia 2 and 1/2.

I LOVE their jammies!!! Anderson and Santa don't have a great relationship...but that face is at least better than the crying :)
